Cushman & Wakefield, the largest real estate consultant in Hungary has transacted record amount of space in Budapest in H1 2018. The almost 42,000 sq m leased space comprised of 44 deals with average deal size above 940 sq m.
The company is now accounting for 24% of the total Budapest market share of the Agents Market. 45% of the deals were new transactions, 34% were renewals, 18% were expansions and there was one pre-lease, which accounted for 3% of Cushman & Wakefield’s H1 transactions.
Tamara Szántó MRICS, Partner, Head of Office Agency at Cushman & Wakefield Budapest commented on the success: ‘’The Budapest Office market closed a very successful period, with almost 172,000 sq m space leased (Agent’s Market) and this period was similarly successful for Cushman & Wakefield. Closing 24% percent of all the Agency Market deals and winning 3 new exclusive office leasing mandates is a great accomplishment for the team so far this year. This is where our strong client relationships pay off and it proves that clients keep on putting their trust in Cushman & Wakefield. With many ongoing deals and possibilities in the pipeline we expect the next 6 months to be extremely busy which lets us predict to conclude another 50, 000 sq m of transactions by the end of the year.”
At Cushman & Wakefield we are extremely proud of our current office leasing mandates and to work with both global corporates and local companies. Our team advises Landlords, Developers and Occupiers and was awarded the Best Office Power Broker Team in 2017 by the Construction and Investment Journal (CiJ).
