Atenor, advised by Cushman & Wakefield Hungary’s Capital Markets Team, have successfully sold Building A of their prestigious Váci Greens campus to an independent Hungarian investor group.
Situated on the Vaci corridor, Budapest’s pre-eminent sub-market, Building A was handed over in 2013 and was the first phase of the 135,000 sq m, six-building Váci Greens office campus developed by the Belgian Atenor Group. The “BREEAM Excellent” certified building comprises 15,000 sq m modern office space on six floors. The building accommodates notable tenants such as GE, Enterprise Communications and Sykes.
Mike Edwards MRICS, Partner, Head of Cushman & Wakefield Budapest’s Capital Markets Team commented: ”This transaction demonstrates the continued success of the Budapest market and vindicates the faith and foresight Atenor had in our market in less buoyant times. Investors are increasingly attracted to Budapest by the comparative pricing with other markets, combined with real estate fundamentals that are the strongest in the region.”
