Cushman & Wakefield has secured premium retail space for Kentucky Fried Chicken – KFC and Nike at the exclusive Fashion Street in Budapest on behalf of the developer Immobilia Plc.

KFC one of the world’s leading fast food restaurant chains has opened a flagship unit on the 15th of April with a Next design concept at the Deák tér end of the shopping street on two floors, totaling 560 sq m. The opening of the new, modernly designed unit is an important strategic step in KFC’s expansion plan to further strengthen the brand in Central Europe.

On the same day, the famous American sports brand, Nike has opened its 4th store in Budapest on over 300 sq m on Fashion Street. This new Nike unit focuses on running, training and athletics and besides the functional sports clothing and shoes sells many street wear products for everyday use.

Viktória Szabó Partner, Head of Retail at Cushman & Wakefield Budapest said: “Fashion Street has always been seeking a quality sportswear tenant especially because there is no other prime mono brand sports unit in the close catchment area. We also beleive that KFC, right at the entrance of the Deák tér Metro station, being the most important public transportation hub in Budapest, will be a success story.”

László Balázs, CEO at Immobilia Plc. commented: “We are more than happy that both Nike and KFC chose the well performing and exclusive Fashion Street. With the best tenant mix in the area, shopping at Fashion Street became a pleasure with KFC, Starbucks and Vapiano further enhancing the joy of shopping. Without exaggeration we can state that the Fashion Street project has reached its long term goal.”

Cushman & Wakefield is the exclusive letting agent and property manager of the exclusive and unique Fashion Street Project.

Fashion Street development offers approximately 8,000 sq m of retail space and restaurants between Deák Square and Bécsi utca and is directly linked to Budapest’s traditional high street, Váci utca and Vörösmarty square. The scheme is being developed by Hungarian developer Immobilia Plc. Key fashion tenants on the location include Massimo Dutti, Oysho, Zara Home, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, nanushka, Intimissimi, Lloyd, Furla, Nike and Lacoste. Major restaurant chains include Starbucks, Vapiano and KFC. iStyle and Vodafone are also represented with a sales point in the area. For more information please visit or follow us on facebook.
