Office Agency: C&W were retained by Diageo in 2011 in order to provide assistance and secure a favorable lease renewal, whilst simultaneously exploring a re-location away from WEBC.
Diageo occupied circa 8,000 sqm and needed flexible growth options secured as well as improvement on pricing and general financials.
Project Management: Creating new 1,000 sqm area of workstations and meeting room centre. Services included designer selection, design management, tendering of fit out works, organise all subcontractor activities (security systems, IT, furniture, etc.).
C&W undertook full location analysis and together with Diageo selected 3 buildings out of nearly 30 alternatives, that were examined in great detail parallel with their existing office accommodation.
Detailed technical and commercial analysis was prepared for Diageo to facilitate the decision making by making clear recommendation.
C&W’s targeted approach resulted in achieving considerable cost saving for Diageo 30 months prior to their original lease expiry.
On top of this C&W secured good headline rent decrease, rent free periods, as well as a fit-out contribution that will allow Diageo to upgrade their premises.
In exchange Diageo extended their lease to 8,000 sq m at WEBC on a long term contract. – not dissimilar to the lease expiry of EY.
